APPETIZERS- THE LEAST INTERESTING PART OF A MEAL

An appetiser, starter, or hors d’oeuvre is a small dish served before a meal in European cuisine. Some hors d’oeuvres are served cold, others hot. Hors d’oeuvres may be served at the dinner table as a part of the meal, or they may be served before seating, such as at a reception or cocktail par.

What Makes a Great Appetiser?

Great appetiser is the one that is perfect for the mood, occasion, or how hungry you are! The mood, in other words, a whim, or to a certain extent can also be called a desire, or a craving, is something that everyone has different triggers for. Appetisers can double up as finger food on various occasions…..a party, social gatherings, corporate get-togethers, a business meet, or any other occasion where a few people gather at non-meal timings. We all love bite-sized options for these occasions as folks are often talking, dancing, and moving around. Being able to pop over to the appetiser area and grabbing a quick bite is a wonderful option. Not to mention people often like to eat less as they are drinking and don’t want a heavy meal. They can be a wonderful stop-gap option when you are hungry and the main course is likely to take some time, or just to wet your appetite before your favorite meal is being lovingly prepared in our kitchen.

Great Dip

A great dip is the one which perfectly compliments the appetiser. As the appetisers, or any food for that matter, the dips made wholly from fresh ingredients takes the appetiser to a different level altogether! At B&B, we make the dips right along the appetisers, fresh, delicious and perfectly complimenting the appetiser on order.

Whats frustating more than anything is when chefs start to cut corners and believe that they are incognito in the way they send out the appetisers, entrees, and they know its no 100%, but they think the customers can’t spot it.
